I am sharing two fun ways to play this popular Christmas game.

Method 1: If you want to add some fun to your Christmas gathering, you can ask your guests to bring a small, wrapped gift such as candy or chocolate bars. To play the game, gather everyone in a circle and have them hold the gift they brought. Choose someone to be the narrator and have them read a story. Whenever the narrator says “right,” the participant must pass their gift to the person sitting on their right, and when the narrator says “left,” they should pass it to the person on their left. At the end of the story, each person will keep the gift they are holding. This game is an excellent way to add some excitement to your Christmas celebration!

Method 2: An alternative way to play this game is by using the classic pass-the-parcel format. To do this, you need to prepare a parcel filled with goodies or favors and have the players sit in a circle. The game starts with a narrator reading a story while the parcel is passed around the circle. If the narrator says “right”, the parcel should be passed to the person on the right. Similarly, if the parcel is already being passed to the right, it should continue in that direction. The same rule applies to “left”. If the narrator says “left”, the parcel should be passed to the person on the left and continue in that direction if it is already being passed that way. In this way, the parcel is passed around the circle while the story is being told. At the end of the game, the person who is holding the parcel gets to keep it as a prize.
