Two Truths and a Lie game is often played as an ice-breaker where the players tell two truths and one lie about themselves. Today I am sharing an office party version of this game with a twist in which the players will tell two truths and a lie about the workplace or the company. Two truths and a Lie is a game that can be played with a small or large group of people, or even with just two people. I have made printable sheets for this game that you can print on an A4 copy paper. Then divide each sheet in two pieces to yield two game cards.
How to Play Two Truths and a Lie Office Party Version
To play this game, each player is given 3-5 minutes to write down two true statements and one false statement about themselves, without disclosing them to anyone. Once everyone has come up with their statements, a random participant reveals their three statements. The rest of the players are then given 30 seconds to decide which statement they think is false. The goal is to quickly choose which statement is the lie, instead of debating assumptions. After 30 seconds, everyone reveals which statement they think is false. The participant then reveals which statement was the lie. This process is repeated until everyone has had a chance to share their two true statements and one false statement. This activity is a fun way to get to know each other better and can be a great icebreaker for coworkers.
