I worked so hard and for a long time to share this escape room that you see here. This is Free Printable DIY Escape Room {Witch’s Curse}. Escape rooms are my favorite way to spend screen-free time with kids. The escape room that I am sharing today is absolutely free printable. This DIY Escape room is easy to setup and both kids and adults can enjoy it. The clues can be hidden in any regular household setting. I am sharing step-by-step instructions about the places where you should hide the clues.
I am also sharing a detailed answer key at the end of this page.
Age Group: 8+ (younger kids can also join the team)
Play time: 45 minutes (You should switch off the lights when the time is up.
Supplies Needed:
- Color printer and cardstock + Printer pages
- A pair of scissors
- Two brads
How to Play
Print each clue and hide it in your house or apartment in the places specified in the instructions. Print the tip cards and give the players 2 or 3 cards, depending on their age group, prior experience, and the difficulty you want to maintain. Set the timer and give the players the first clue. The players must finish the escape room in the correct order. They won’t be allowed to solve another clue unless they have found their way to it by solving the previous clues. If the number of players is more than 5, you can divide them into teams and hide two copies of each clue at the specified place. You should also cut the storyline cards and hide one with each clue.
Free Printable Witch’s Curse Escape Room Hint Cards and Hints Sheet
Here are the hint cards and hints sheet for this escape room. You should print the cards and cut them around the edges. A hard cardstock sheet is better for this purpose. Give the players 3 or more cards. Print the hints sheet and keep it with you. Players can redeem the card to get a hint if they get stuck.

This is the first printable clue for this fun escape room. Click on the image and save the larger printable sheet or click here to download the PDF. Hand over the printout to the players directly. It will lead them to the next clue.
Free Printable Witch’s Curse Escape Room Clue 2
Click here to download the PDF of this second clue. You need to print it on a heavy cardstock sheet and cut around the edges before hiding the pieces in the laundry. Alternatively, you can hide the printed sheet in the laundry and give the players a pair of scissors so they can cut and then arrange this puzzle.

Witch’s Curse Escape Room Clue 4 Free Printable
This clue or challenge is slightly difficult to assemble, but it is easy and fun to solve. You need to cut each circle around the edges and then secure them from smallest to the biggest with the help of a brad. Rotate them and hide the puzzle under a rug. I am sharing here a picture of the assembled piece.

This is the clue number nine. You can either click on the thumbnail or click here to download the PDF. Hide this clue under a couch. The players need to know some of the witchy magical words and terms to solve this puzzle.

This is another fun puzzle that will give the player a clue for the next puzzle. Click here to download the PDF. After printing the puzzle sheets, you need to cut each tarot card around the edges. You also need to cut the paper with the text on it on the dotted lines. Hide all the pieces inside a refrigerator.
Free Printable Clue 12, Witch’s Curse Escape Room
This is the last clue for this escape room. Hide this printed sheet in the shower area. Click here to download the PDF. The players need a mirror to read this message. It says that they have completed the mission and broken the curse. You can give each player a small prize if they complete all the puzzles within the assigned time limit.
